The House Stormbrin has been been Patriarchal until the reign of Raynn the eccentric who broke with that tradition until her death after which Colborn I reinstated it. Raynn the Unifyer settled the line of succession by once again making it the eldest heir, though she eliminated the patriarchal aspect, giving daughters equal chance to rule.
