Applemere Glen
The village of Applemere Glen was a peaceful place, nestled among the apple orchards between the cities of Penkurth and Freyburn. It was a small town, but the people who lived there were proud of their heritage and way of life.
The town was famous far and wide for the delicious hard cider they brew, Applemere's Famous Golden Cider. This special brew was served in wooden mugs at the Applemere's Uncasking Festival each spring, when the first batches of ciders were ready to drink. The uncasking takes place during the second full moon of spring. During this time, the town and its people were alive with excitement and joy, and the whole village celebrated with music, dance and games.
The people of Applemere Glen were simple folk, proud of the harvest they brought in, and ever-grateful to the land and the orchards that provided them sustenance. To honor the land, the festival celebrated the good it brought to the village. Every family was encouraged to take part in the festivities, and more often than not the Mayor was seen in the center of the village square, leading the revelry.
From the children going around with special baskets collecting donations for the needy, to the older folks singing traditional songs around the midnight bonfire, the Applemers Festival was a time when the people of Applemere Glen united in joyous camaraderie.
