The patriarch of the Minor House of Cliffmere Lord Anton-Brix Cliffmere is an intimidating man. He was a tall, broad-shouldered, blue-eyed man with a severe face and penetrating gaze. His thick grey hair was cropped short, and his presence commanded respect. He was the figurehead of the Minor House of Cliffmere, a noble house of Wrayatoria.
He had accumulated the wealth and power of the House through a variety of sources. The main source of income came from trade around the peninsula, but specific manipulation of the market was also at play and supposed blackmarket dealings as well. He was an expert at finding ways to acquire wealth and influence, even in territories ruled by other nobles, such as the House of Rainner in Freyburn.
He was also a master of politics. He had a sharp mind and a quick wit, and he used them to his advantage. He was skilled at using his considerable influence in Freyburn and other cities in Wrayatora to manipulate court decisions. He also had a knack for spotting opportunities to leverage his influence in other settlements and exerted pressure on local officials to bend to his will.
Despite his power-hungry persona, he is a shrewd ruler and a respected/feared member of the noble hierarchy of Wrayatoria. He understood the implications of his actions and was careful to ensure that he covered his tracks well so his wealth and influence were not at risk. There are suspicions of his less than savory dealings, however there was never enough proof to say with certainty to implicate the Cliffmeres.
