The Lazy Swan Tavern

The Lazy Swan Tavern in Rothevon stands out among the buildings in the small city with its towering facade of dark stone and timber. The door, also made of heavy wooden panels, is decorated with a carved symbol showing a big gray swan with its head tucked in while it dozes off.   Inside, the bar consists of a well-worn wooden counter with bottles of various colors glinting in the light of the chandeliers above. Patrons come and go, with many of them seeking out the quiet repose of the comfortable chairs and benches that dot the main room. Most of the customers at any given time are travelers; adventurers looking for direction and companions to join their expeditions, for the tavern is also the local outpost of the Adventurers Guild.   For the locals, the Lazy Swan Tavern serves as a convenient spot to grab a drink or a bite to eat amid the chatter of tales swapped by the off-duty adventurers. While the staff is careful to defuse any arguments, some bickering and rumblings can’t be avoided. However, the atmosphere is usually friendly, and the bartender often takes a few minutes to catch up on local news and gossip while he lines up drinks.   Here, on pleasant evenings, musicians, bards, and even the occasional itinerant actor will ply the crowd with festive songs and stories.

Adventurer's Guild

Kulgaer Shatterbrew had been an adventurer for many years. He had seen many places and experienced many things. He had been a part of many battles and had come out on top. He had been a great asset to the guild, and when he had decided to retire, the guild had elected him as the administrative head of their local chapter.   Kulgaer had settled down in the Lazy Swan tavern, which serves as the guild's headquarters. He is now responsible for taking on contracts and jobs and assigning them to guild members who are seeking adventure. He was always ready to help out a fellow guild member in need, and he was always looking for more challenges to take on.   Over the years, Kulgaer had established a good rapport with the locals in the area, and they often came to him with tasks and jobs they needed help with. He would then assign these tasks to his guild members, who were always eager to take on a challenge.   Kulgaer may have retired from his adventures, but he certainly kept the adventurer's spirit alive. He had become a mentor to his fellow guild members, and he was always willing to provide guidance and advice. He was the perfect leader for the local chapter of the guild, and he was sure to continue to be a great asset to the guild for years to come.

Lochlan Hogg - Owner

Lochlan Hogg was the middle-aged, charismatic heart and soul of the Lazy Swan Tavern. He was never seen wearing the same outfit twice, and always had a colorful coat made of the finest fabrics and a hat on his head that was just as outlandish as the colorful stories he would tell every night. He had a tall frame, broad shoulders and always seemed to glow with an infectious energy. His hair was an intense shade of red, and framed his sun-kissed face perfectly. His trademark bushy ginger beard and happy, twinkling blue eyes made him a charming figure and welcome sight to those lucky enough to happen upon his Tavern. There was something almost magical about the Lazy Swan and those who met Lochlan knew it emanated from him. In a fantasy world, Lochlan Hogg was a true legend.
