Dynrian Hydra

The Dynrian Hydra is an Enormous Hydra. It has the power of shooting fire, lightning and beams of energy from it's mouths. It's strength is unmatched. It's skin had only ever been pierced once (which was the time he was killed by Zemora ). If you'd cut one head off, a new head grows on.

Summary

It is one of the Ancient Beasts. The Ancient Beasts are almost immortal creatures created together with the gods. These are increadibaly strong creatures, and if one of them were to be harmed, so would the world. If one of them were to be killed, the world wouldn't be in balance for a long time. The Dynrian Hydra was killed by Zemora when it attacked Thalassius.

Historical Basis

Everything that is told about Ancient Beasts is true, except the fact that you can't kill them. You CAN kill them, but it's very hard and it's only been done twice. Once by all the gods working together, once by Zemora. It's true that the Dynrian Hydra was killed when it attacked Thalassius by Zemora, but it's much less heroic than in all the stories. Zemora was just a coward, doing his best to stay alive and he 'acidentaly' killed the Dynrian Hydra. Right now, there is no evidence of it ever existing, exept that the Dwarves of Thalassius claim to be using it's blood to create power.

Variations & Mutation

Yes, some say that the hydra could breathe fire, while others say that the hydra couldn't grow new heads. According to some, all Hydra that have ever lived are decedents from the Dynrian Hydra, but this hasn't been proved yet.
