EARTH DOES NOT WANT US HERE.

  The year is 2601, a little over five centuries since humanity's first exodus from Earth. Millions with the funds and influence to do so have left their homes to board ships built for the express purpose of leaving Earth's orbit, and have since been terraforming the other worlds of the solar system such as Mars, Europa, and the odd super-habitat in the rings of Saturn. Those who remained on Earth were those gated from leaving by their lack of wealth. Due to the lack of land left on its surface, and the toxicity of the top layer of water, many people not already dead from bioweapons unleashed during the waning years of war between corporate states vying for control of Earth fled to the deep oceans. From the Bathepelagic to Hadopelagic zones, the remnants of Earth's humanity fled to its depths while those lucky enough to leave remained among the stars.   Now, some corporations seek to return to Earth to reclaim lost assets from distant parents in the depths of a vast ocean that covers its surface. The first reclamation team sent by Xerocorp reported back a year after its initial dive with a cryptic and terrifying message, which was then promptly forgotten by all currently surviving members of the board present.
