Afhurth

"They say that Afhurth was the first mountain, and that the Dwarves are its children. Sure, seems silly at first, but you ever take a good look at a dwarf? The resemblance is uncanny!"

Afhurth is both the name of a colossal mountain, and the dwarven kingdom that resides within it. Afhurth is a massive, fortified city whose heart lies deep inside the mountain and spill out onto the surface. The outer portion of the city is a sprawling metropolitan area that is open to all visitors. Hundreds of taverns, and hundreds more forges and armories. The inner portion of the city, however, is restricted to native Afhurthan Dwarves and contains the seat of their government, as well as their treasure vaults. Huge buttresses and supports can be seen built directly into the side of the mountain, giving a sense of scale to how industrialized the inside of Afhurth must be. 
Afhurth is governed by a senate called the Ogkathen, which is presided over by a Primarch. The current Primarch is Beirdelan Ag Gorthunn, a veteran solider and the former Archwarden of the Afhurthan armies.
