At first glance this weapon appears to be a withered cane or crutch, nearly reduced to flinders and held together with scrap and sheer will. Closer inspection reveals a lovingly crafted and surprisingly ornate rifle of bizarre make. Further consideration reveals a heavy, weighted striking surface on its stock.
A strange weapon, of a strange people, these "slugthrowers" are the signature weapons of the Qussim-Sahl, the enigmatic desert nomads who prowl the Djeris Desert. In the hands of an average warrior, this weapon offers explosive ranged potential at the risk of... explosive malfunction. If the weapon is reduced to a charred plank, you can still bludgeon a creature to death with the heavy end. In the hands of a skilled Qussim-Sahl sharpshooter, however, this weapon becomes a needle that can weave a tapestry of glory, or unravel yours.
This particular slugthrower belonged to the warrior Arthak, son of a Qussim-Sahl Chieftain, who died while fighting off a Thri-Kreen ambush.
