Calthea

The ancient stonework city currently called Calthea is the capital of the elven kingdom of the same name. Built by an unknown civilization in an unknown age, numerous kingdoms have claimed the city as their seat of power during their tenure. Before it was claimed by the Caltheans the city was known as Pnubarum. Over the course of centuries, the jungle that was cleared away in antiquity has slowly begun to retake the city. The Calthean Elves take care to thoughtfully prune and trellis the vines that encroach on the capital.

Demographics

Caltheans are almost exclusively elven, with the majority of which being High Elf and Wood Elf.

Government

Calthea is ruled by the Phaeron, a monarch wielding absolute power granted to them by succession. Like most singular rulers, the Phaeron keeps a council of advisors, though they do not possess any official power.

Geography

Calthea is surrounded on all sides by dense jungle, which conceals deep gorges, ravines, and mangrove swamps.
