Faziim the Resplendant

Faziim Al-Alawha, more commonly known by his epithet The Resplendant was a famed and beloved ruler of the Djeran Sultanate from 1778 who ruled until his voluntary abdication in 1827.   Under the reign of Faziim the Resplendent, the Djeran Sultanate's influence grew drastically, and the kingdom entered a golden age that rivaled that of the Sehadjer Empire that ruled in a previous age.   Faziim abdicated the throne in 1827, citing his advanced age as being a potential detriment to his ability to rule adequately. He returned to his home town of Alawha-Madhi and spent the remainder of his life performing acts of community service and investing in city infrastructure.   When Faziim passed away in 1835 at the age of 104, the local government of Alawha-Madhi petitioned the reigning Sultana Siti the Huntress to rename their city in Faziim's honor, utilizing the "Syllable of Royalty". This petition was quickly passed, and Alawha-Madhi became Ofaziim.
