Grencraft

Located in a vast wetland, Grencraft is a prosperous town of hunters, trappers, fisherman and outdoorsmen who are adept at navigating the swampy terrain.
Due to the nature of the town's environment, most of the structures of Grencraft are built upon pylons and stilts to prevent the buildings from sinking into the bogs beneath. The majority of these structures are made from durable and light swampwoods, but there are sections of the city built from a light stone. These stone buildings are expensive and hard to maintain, so they are commonly owned by nobility or ruling classes of the city.
Grencraftians thrive in the seemingly hostile terrain, making great use of the natural resources of the swamp. They harvest clods of peat from the numerous peatbogs in the area, using it as fuel and a flavoring agent in a potent local alcoholic beverage called Slint. Most notable, however, are the castes of specialized fishermen who wade out into the brackish waters on long stilts, harpooning their prey not only with iron spikes but their stilts themselves. These Stilters are a vital part of Grencraft's livelihood, and are treated as nobility.
