Izabariik

At the far eastern end of the Djeris Mountains lies the city of Izabariik, often times the first stop upon visiting the Djeran Sultanate. Built upon the ruins of an ancient Djeran stronghold, the city has an eclectic mix of architecture from different cultures across the Realm, and is known for its cuisine, museums, and tourism. The Thri-Kreen of the nearby tribal enclave of Charakt are frequent sights to the city, plying their trade as caravan guides and guards, and in and of themselves are seen as tourist attractions by strangers from less arid locales.
When the Holdfast Union made their push into the Sultanate during the The Djeran Expansion War, Izabariik served as a interim HQ. Some Holdfast structures can still be seen in parts of the city today.
