The Pactlands

Far to the West of The Realm is a sprawling landmass split into numerous baronies and kingdoms. Collectively, these countries and the land they dwell on are known as The Pactlands.
The land itself is imbued with powerful fey magics, due in part to its close proximity to the Feywild, a parallel mirror of the material plane. While numerous fey creatures travel back and forth between the Feywild and the Material Plane, a number have staked claim on the lands here and have founded their own small kingdoms. Most notable among these rulers are six Archfey known as the Ruling Lights, to whom all who live here owe fealty.
The land is primarily forest and grasslands with exaggerated and strange features. Rivers and waterfalls that flow backward, entire forests that walk, and mountains that roll under the earth.
It is believed that the Ruling Lights are responsible for maintaining a level of control over the shifting elements, and should their rule fail the land would become chaos.
