Carthannas

The Carthannas region, often simply referred to as Carthannas or “The Carth,” is a mountainous province located in western Ademlos, comprising the western half of the Kingdom of Solis. Carthannas is bounded by Steinhjalm to the north, Montagnard to the east, Jacinta to the south, and the Sea of Hope to the west.The region’s geography is characterized by four parallel mountain ranges known as The Giant’s Fingers (Sgealbag, Gunna Fada, Mac-an-Aba, and Lùdag), the longest of which spans the full length of the province, stretching from the frozen highlands of the Giant’s Knuckles in Steinhjalm down to the Goblin Big Biting Lands of the Midnight Desert in Jacinta. Carthannas is the ancestral homeland of the Highland Dwarves, Carthannite Humans, and Halflings, and was inhabited and ruled by the now-extinct Ancient Giant race during the Age of Mist. Ruins of the oldest mortal-built structures in Ademlos can be found scattered throughout the Carthannas Region, originally serving as palaces and temples for the Ancient Giants.
