410 Truwinter 12 Dearest Keepsafe, If one were to choose a sire for a child that does not yet exist, and the continued presence of said sire was not a desired outcome, what measure of man should one choose? This evening I am of the opinion that I could do worse than a rugged war hero. For the last handful of years my mind has been turning to the future of the line that was lost in the war. If my, admittedly humble bloodline is not to die with me, I have some considerations to make. Whether avalanche or creature from the north, there are enough dangers in the world that I may not have as many years as I expect. Tonight the great hall is loud with the wandering soldiers, bundles of armor and cloaks and rags. All these years later most have not found their place in the kingdom. I have been keeping to quarters, but as the night wears on I am making said considerations. One of them is markedly less objectionable than the others, handsome even, under the layers of road travel caked on him. Perhaps Gwennod could offer him a bath on the house. 410 Truwinter 13 Dearest Keepsafe, As it turns out, Halchon Halchon, Hal, as it were, has more depth than I first gave him credit for. He said something about his grandfather being one of the Mountains of the Creation Age, which, a lot of men say that, but him I may believe on that boast. I may not remember most of the details out of his mouth due to drink and not listening, but I certainly remember sucessfully taking down my quarry. Will see soon enough if I truly speared the beast.
