Celestial

Celestials are the native beings of the planes of Heaven .  They are beings of law and order.  

Gods.

A being that controls one of the planes of heaven becomes a god.  They have complete mastery of their plane and can more or less reshape it in whatever way they please.  These beings vary as widely as the planes of heaven.  Some are kind, some are stern.  Some take humanoid forms, while others appear more bestial or monstrous.  These gods gain the ability to telepathically communicate with all of the angels that serve them so long as they are on the same plane of existance.

Angels.

Angels are a race of winged humanoid celestials.  They are bound to the planes they originate in and serve the sitting god of that plane.  They come in 3 main classes, Solars, Planetars, and Devas.  Each plane of heaven has 1 Solar, 10 Planetars, and 100 Devas.  Like other celestials, angels can only be permanently slain on their plane of origin.  Every time a new god takes over a plane of Heaven, any missing angels are replaced and all of the plane's angels become fully aware of the new god.
Other Celestials. The Heavens are full of innumerable different celestials of all shapes and sizes.  Some of the more prominent celestials include Empyreans, Ki-rin, Unicorns, Couatls, and Pegasi.
