Lyk'ra, God of Madness
Lyk'ra, unlike the Star Weaver, is a much darker offspring of the Goddess of Darkness. Mis, being a keeper of secrets, holds many followers who seek out the dark, forbidden knowledge of the Realm. That which no mortal should gaze upon, and which rends the minds of the most strong-willed scholars. Lyk'ra represents this forbidden knowledge. The maddening pursuit of esoteric texts from ancient minds that should have been left to rest. Gazing into the abyss and being unable to emerge the same person. That's what Lyk'ra represents. Some theorize Illnis' influence may have empowered this deity's existence.
Followers of Lyk'ra, as his concept implies, are mostly individuals that actively seek out what many of them deem a "higher mind". To throw away their conventions of reality opens the mortal brain to the true knowledge the Realm has to offer. The whispered words of the Forgotten Ones. The Psionic arts of the Mind Flayer colonies of Skuggi. The unfathomable power of the incomprehensible cosmos. A majority of Lyk'ra's followers see themselves as better and more powerful than the average person, and many of them actively reject the will of the Goddess of Knowledge, in turn dedicating all their effort to uncovering things that would be better left alone.
