Chapter 1: An Average Median
General Summary
The party ventured down into the canyon of Kochi, making their way to the nearest rest stop, locally referred to as Teahouses. They compared methods of transportation between their two worlds, where Medius relies upon its carriages and Flying Skills, Major has had a lot of tricks up its sleeve for Samantha in the transportation department.
Arriving at the Teahouse, the party made their order. They compared their currencies, from the mass-produced Wan to the less centrally crafted Gelt. Sampling Median cuisine, the most notable aspect of which is the aetherial infusion of ingredients such as tea leaves. Originally conceptualized by Sheryl, the former Flower Spirit, such methods have apparently stretched to Major as well, creating the potions available from select traders.
Once filled, the group began training in the first fundamental flying skill: The Springstep. Allowing one to reach new heights and covering the basics of ambient aetheric manipulation into controlled bursts of thrust, the Springstep grants people the freedom to roam the lands of Eteras Medius.
Adding onto the retinue would be the Air Skip, a second jump midair by using the brief moment where the blast feels akin to solid ground. Yet the strain of learning maneuvers in quick succession would take its toll, prompting an impromptu meditation session to be held.
While the party focuses on theirselves, the conflict in Eteras Major comes to its end. Queen is victorious, but at what cost?
