Chapter 21: The Ghost Wolf

General Summary

Having secured the Owl's cooperation, the party sought to make their way over to the Riverside Resort.
On the elevator ride down, the party tried to recap the events of the past decades, and the hostilities between the Spirits and the Office of Societal Foundation and Logistics. Whatever reason there was for the Gate to be closed remained unknown, and blame was placed on the Minians. The emergence of the Acting Guardian prompted a rapid change in policy, one that necessitated the prowess of the General to persuade the masses.
The party rode an automated transport system through a tunnel to reach their destination, although they had to switch to a cart service when departing. A meeting with the owner of the spa, Kai Shin, was quickly arranged. He said the General was treated at his facility, and nurtured back to adequate health, though the corruption was merely halted, rather than cleansed. The General spoke at length about philosophy, and wanting to bring 'Justice' to the world of Medius.
Before they were able to speak of more matters, a fight had broken out at the outskirts of the resort. Master Zu Mi and Miyasaki Kazuo were at eachother's throats, as the Scholar believed the man to have been responsible for the murder of her children. Those present were able to dispel that conception. The brother of the General, Kazuo, would love nothing more than to get even with his brother, after having been locked in a cell for nearly twenty years. Unfortunately, Zu Mi's partner was also murdered recently, as relayed by Ga Rei.
The team was resolved to address this, though first they would have to intercept and acquire the Empire's airship.
