Chapter 22: The Heist

General Summary

At dawn, Team Guardian would strike. Invading the Seat of the Empire and absconding with The Dragonslayer, in a plan as loosely defined as could be. The initial venture went off without a hitch until reaching the Command Center of the Seat, where they encountered the Prince.
Not keen on letting them interrupt his plans, which would finally be realized after all these years. To bring justice to the Minians for turning the Empire into the state it's in, and avenging his father's death, the Prince would give his life to see it through. Even when faced with utter destruction, he could no longer wait to see justice done.
After a battle against the laws of physics and a reality bending sorceror, the party was saved by Shi Jill, settling the score with her ward and putting him to bed early.
The party ran to catch the Dragonslayer as it was taking off, only to encounter their old 'friends', the Aquateers. Forcing yet another battle onto Team Guardian, the three versus three ended in a clear win on the side of the Guardian. Alas, the battle had broken parts of the ship, causing it to spiral down towards the ground. The crew had already abandoned ship, allowing the team to swiftly take the controls and attempt an emergency landing.
Succesfully bringing the ship down in the water, mostly intact, the party arrived in the vicinity of the Receptacle, a great chasm, suitable scaled down for Medius...Yet it seemed smaller than the island on Major, which would like pose a problem if a teleportation was attempted. The only way out is through Major, and the Gate.
The forces gathered at the edge of the jungle, ready to make it clear to the Empire's remnants that they intend to save the world.
As one.
