Chapter 2: All grown up
General Summary
Part 1:
Luanshi decided to check on his friend Hana, a botanist more knowledgeable on plants than she is on life in the city. A trade was made, one ruined garden for one ruined hairdo. Hana was quick to employ Luanshi's delivery services, that is what he does best after all, or so he claimed. Navigating the city's rooftops resulted in a rather quick delivery time. After the delivery, Luanshi was treated to a reading of the current events going on in the world. A wolf, shaking hands and a map of the continent indicated that the Wolf seeked to unify the lands once again. The provinces used to be one whole, before disbanding into smaller regions. A book and ink, ruins and a door indicated that a Scholar was studying the ancient civilization in search for answers regarding a Gate. The fortune teller took a moment to read Luanshi's fate and spotted a great war, the rise of a dead legend, worlds surrounding their own, visitors from another realm and a vengeful spirit.Part 2:
With a delivery concluded, Luanshi would return to Hana to report...But only after taking a detour to the market to acquire some food. Rather than steal, he decided to make conversation in order to acquire fruit for free, which is basically stealing anyway. Talking to the Vendor of Oranges, he was able to learn that more people are heading out to sea to explore new lands, as well as the name of 'The Wolf', General Miyasaki. If the General were to ever step foot near Teichi, it would fall to the Temple to defend it, a fate that may be more than he bargained for. Arriving at Hana's shop, Luanshi encountered her in the middle of business with an exotic traveler. Eavesdropping, he learnt a thing or two about 'aetherial conductivity', whatever that is. Grounded rubyflower appears to be suitable for such purposes. Hana mentioned a herb called onyxroot to have a higher 'resistance' than rubyflower, whatever that is! Hana appeared to be a big fan of her customer, Master Zu, whose work seemed to match the fortune teller's omens. Hana also seems to be looking for her father's equipment, once caretaker of the Fox Spirit shrine, it seems to have been missing ever since he passed away. Returning to the Temple, Luanshi proceeded to train his skills on some target dummies, given the challenge he may have to overcome in the near future, he'd best get all the training he can. Somewhere during or just after his training, a visitor arrived to the temple unannounced and with no introductions. The Visitor spoke with Master Xi regarding the remnants of the empire, through the visitor had very few words to say in general, the stoic, silent type. Master Xi seemed reluctant to go to war, but the visitor saw little other option, given the circumstances. No alliance was made, and the visitor left.Character(s) interacted with
