Chapter 2: The Excitable Apprentice
General Summary
After the meditation, training resumed on the basic Flying Skills intended to get Samantha to the headquarters. Finally mastering the Air Skip, she was then tasked to learn the Frog Leap, useful for crossing chasms, which she happened to be facing now. By now, picking up Flying Skills is simply like learning a new incantation for her arsena. Zu Mi surmised this would be enough for her to cross the chasm, and thus they ascended the mountain to try.
Scaling it proved little challenge after the rigors of waterside training and the refreshing rejuvenation of tea. The group had arrived at their destination, and few were more excited to see them arrive than Master Zu Mi's apprentice, Xia Fei Lu. The excitable teenage research enthusiast couldn't wait to share al of her findings in what can only be described as an info-dump, which may one day be featured in an expo hall.
Fei Lu's carpet exposes her findings on aether as a substance, its ability to change forms and how that may tie into some manner of polarity. Her findings focus on a two-dimensional polarity shift model, which mostly means she can only go in two directions. Though her research is certainly insightful, it bears little practical application at this point, leaving it hanging in the theoretical aetherophysics department.
Yet the artificially created Null Zone bears a great semblance to the aether-starved Wilds back on Eteras Major. While some of the Wilds may now have been infused with highly aspected aether, the aetherial crisis on the world remains an ongoing threat to life. Though perhaps not quite as much of a threat as the planets being on a collision course.
Fei Lu postured that the old and grumpy Minians might be able to help out with Major's issues, Samantha might have to brush up on her ability to convince others that she is right in the Median way, violence. So she arranged a match to be held between 'Kaye's Girl' and herself versus Team Guardian.
