Chapter 4: The Phantom City of Teichi
General Summary
Luanshi and Hana chose to follow the lanterns back to where they came from, walking against the wind ensuring they would not get lost once again. Arriving back in Teichi, they encountered the town in an ethereal state, unable to be interacted with in any way other than sight. Imperial scouts were spotted trying to unravel what had just happened to the place, but seemed no closer to an answer.
Luanshi and Hana ran through the forest to make their way towards the eastern coast, where they found a set of farms. After a disagreement on a matter of ethics, Luanshi would sleep in the barn whilst Hana would sleep out under the stars.
Rising early, Hana seemed to have convinced the farmers to let her inspect their crops and processes to further optimize their production capabilities, a worthwhile trade for basic supplies. Luanshi instead came to ask for directions, learning of a town named Dongtu within the snowy regions to the south. Hana would continue to tend to the fields while Luanshi was allowed to roam and 'make himself useful'.
Doing the opposite of that, Luanshi settled to rest on the beach and throw rocks at the water.
On another world entirely, the League had caught wind of the disappearance of Teichi, and would send their agent to investigate.
