Chapter 5: Battle on the Small Bridge

General Summary

Having had enough of tossing pebbles, Luanshi went to find Hana, who had been making great strides in improving the farm's production capabilities. Locating her in the middle of re-arranging the storehouse for optimal access to key utilities and supplies. Her plans seems to be improving the farm's capabilities to ultimately improve accessibility to the rest of the world's transportation systems. It would take some time for her to complete this task, during which she suggested Luanshi head up north to inspect the nearby village.
Heading up north, Luanshi found himself required to pay a toll to cross a simple bridge. Refusing to pay a ludicrous sum for what amounts to a racket, Luanshi instead decided to deal with the bridge trolls the way any self-respecting Median would: Violence.
This opportunity proved to be a useful means of gaining experience in actual combat, remembering the basics of controlling one's opponents and stringing together flying skills to keep up the pressure. Yet for the first time ever, Luanshi was able to gain enough Focus to yield a tangible result, a wave of destructive potential building up within him that could be unleashed with a mere thought.
After the battle had ended, a traveler by the name of Tenshi showed up to offer Luanshi a reward. He agreed to provide him information on potential allies against the General's armies, while in trade receiving information on what has befallen Teichi. Whether Tenshi will make good on his word remains to be seen.
