Chapter 7-S: Out of Time

General Summary

Samantha found herself trapped within a singular moment once again. The world ceases to revolve and race towards its eventual doom for a little longer. Without time, one can truly reflect upon what has happened.
Much has happened over a short period of time, and much remains unresolved within her Mind. Her Body has been significantly altered to suit the coming chaos, or so Lakmir claimed.
The powers bestowed upon a Guardian include those of the Heirs, Nine of them to match the numbers of the Pantheon. Though Pricia seemed to think there were Ten.
Even without these blessings, Lakmir's alterations and the forms she can now assume provide an immense range of capabilities. With only the right strategy, Samantha could ensure victory in every conflict she takes part in. Yet even with this guarantee, finding the right answers remains a trial in and of itself.
As Samantha pondered the fate of her companions, Jack would appear, as he usually does, unannounced.
Jack informed Samantha that all required parameters had been met, which allows her to be properly informed of the League's aims and goals. The evacuation would continue as desired, though Jack warned that the collision will remain unavoidable. Though the majority of the populace would be able to escape, some may stay behind out of stubbornness.
Curiously, Jack would imply he was to blame for the events of this world, though the reason for it remained vague. As if everyone is stuck in some loop, that only Samantha seems to be able to alter, as her own future remains unwritten.
"What makes you so special?"
Perhaps not being special at all. To be freely able to define one's future through actions, rather than be constrained to a plot like the others, and perhaps even influence the fates of others, altering the course of the story.
Yet Jack seems well aware of the lives he has led up to this point, only not certain what exactly he did during them. His goal appears to be to correct the mistakes of his past.
Coming across a past life may trigger the unlocking of buried memories of the Soul, though most of them will remain inaccessible, as the Mind and Body are incompatible with the experiences. Only by exploring similar circumstances do these past events become clear to the host.
Jack clarified that memories experienced through the soulbond of Lakmir were not the result of such an event. The connection between two souls remains a largely unexplored topic, one Kale would likely know most of.
Inquiring about Samantha's knowledge of the Old World, they both seem to have rather limited knowledge on the matter, even though Jack claims to have been the Emperor at the time. The path forward remains unclear to Jack, though he is sure it will become clear in due time.
