Chapter 9: The Divine Duo Dueling Duality

General Summary

Finally arriving at a suitable locale for dueling on a grand scale, the party disembarks the cart to prepare for a fight like no other.
Teshi and Tenshi are a duo who conceivably have never fought together, yet their attacks mesh together like everyone's favorite sandwich spreads. The party decided to focus on bringing down Teshi's tremendous defenses, learning that depriving her of weaponry quickly corners her stances, leaving her with easily identifiable weaknesses that she cannot counter-act.
Leaving Tenshi to his own devices however seems to result in a constant stream of aerial harassment, often turning simple attacks into a complicated hailstorm of homing missiles. In order to defeat them, they must be occupied at all times, and most effective seemed to be telekinesis, restricting their plentiful mobility down to nothing, leaving them at the mercy of an incoming strike.
Yet as all duels must, the fight came to an end after a tremendous explosive attack on the side of the barrier brawlers, showcasing the power of teamwork in its most raw form.
But this finale ended up draining Tenshi of what little energy he had left, and he collapsed just before Luanshi unleashed his finishing move.
The fight ended amicably, with a win for Team Guardian. The battle had strengthened the teamwork of both sides, teaching them their weaknesses and strengths, and how to band together against a common foe.
The party finally arrived at the Seat of the Empire, wandering up the steps to the gatehouse. When asked to be allowed to enter, the Guard mentioned this was the second Guardian to arrive today, and barred them from entry.
Ready to disassemble the guards for their inability to recognize the true guardian, the tension was diverted to a pair of laughing individuals.
