Gesture to the Departed
History
Ever since souls set themselves upon a course, they were bound to intersect with one another. During these collisions of strength and will, only one can emerge a victor. It is at this time that the victor may choose to perform a Gesture to the Departed, as a sign of respect for a soul not unlike theirselves.
Execution
Though it varies for each individual case, the Gesture to the Departed often involves the use of the defeated's weaponry. Whether it be planting it in the ground at the site of their loss or accepting it into the victor's care and treated with the respect they would grant their opponent.
Components and tools
Weaponry, fire, tools of personal faith.
Participants
The Victor of the clash of souls may perform any manner of gesture they see fit in order to settle the matter that lead to their dispute. By performing this Gesture, the Victor acknowledges the strength and will their opponent showed in their battle and sheds their grudges and all ill will felt towards them.
The Departed may accept the Gesture and thus agree to abstain from engaging in a cycle of vengeance, shed the life they had lead within their deceased vessel and begin anew.

Observance
This ritual typically occurs in the aftermath of a battle, though may have to be carried out later if circumstances prevent it.
