Intermission: Tori no Machi

General Summary

Luanshi took the opportunity to visit the ruins of a city that has long been a ruin, the city where he grew up, Tori no Machi. Situated west of Teichi, on the shores of the Southeastern Continent, the remnants of the city were scattered far and wide by the incident still shrouded in secrecy.
Yet amidst these ruins lie a house, seemingly untouched by the blast, an illogical construction in a site of unparalleled disaster. Once the abode of Caerean, the Owl Spirit, and ruler of the city, it stands to reason that it would have been created to weather her own incantations.
Luanshi searched her house top to bottom, but found nothing of note. Not until his soul provided a glimpse of the past did he find answers. Caerean, once a member of the Eteras Project now found herself stranded upon Eteras Medius. Having stumbled upon a worrying finding, she would set out to research means to prevent the coming calamity. But to accomplish this, she would need to regain the trust of the people, a plan she sought to achieve by presenting herself and her peers as mysterious beings of great power, cementing the identity of Minians as Spirits.
The General's slaying of a Minian had set back progress on finding a means to save the world from destruction, and all too soon did they arrive at the Owl Spirit's doorstep. Judging that the loss of her means to accomplish her goal would be a far greater sacrifice than that of a single city, she would choose to try and take out the Acting Guardian and his General. Though she wouldn't deal the killing blow, the Acting Guardian would pass shortly after.
