Personal history
At the time of binding into service, Mi’Peth was a lowly Mischief Demon, still an imp at the time. Mi’Peth’s penchant for hijynx and creeping on the female staff by hiding within the shadows earned him a rather negative reputation. But all familiars have their useful skills.
Though lacking a functional left hand, Mi’Peth is in possession of the Grim’s Reaper, an artifact capable of rending aparts the barriers between dimensions, creating portals to distant worlds at a whim. His ability to meld with the shadows by entering the Shadow Realm has allowed him to act as an excellent spy, especially within the mansion itself, where attempts at treason are not wholly uncommon. Though his combat utility is largely limited to summoning creatures made out of shadow, Mi’Peth has taken cues from a local rogue and has begun his training as a gunslinger.
Mi’Peth is loyal to the Crimson Princess, but harbors a deep seated adoration for the Royal Guard, Garret Hawkes, claiming himself to be his number one fan. Though with such idol worship comes a hefty case of anxiety that overtakes him at every chance to make conversation with him.
It was this adoration that allowed him to seize the opportunity for a promotion. Keeping tabs on Garret’s activities, he soon found himself witnessing his desertion first hand, as he left for an unauthorized assassination attempt against an enemy of the royal family, the Archmage Xenon.
Watching the battle end in little more than inflicting a scar on the Archmage’s face, Mi’Peth began planning a means to take out this opponent in a more permanent sense.
It was this very plot that allowed him to exploit an opening in Xenon’s defenses to trap his soul within his scythe and deliver it to the Crimson Princess, along with the cadaver of the Archmage. Though considered extremely unlikely to be responsible for such an act, Mi’Peth was lauded as a hero for bringing this villain to justice and quickly made the ranks of the Royal Guard. Now part of the royal family’s elite, Mi’Peth waits for another opportunity to work together with his allies.
