Prologue: Teichi: First Steps

General Summary

The kid traveled for many hours on a horse carriage, moving away from a life of uncertainty and turmoil. Finally arriving in Teichi, the kid first learnt how to operate a well, to some success. Shortly after, he stole and consumed a cabbage, a coveted item in the region.
Teichi's layout became clear over time. The main thoroughfare hosts a market for the general populace, to get products one needs for daily sustenance. The docks offer a place to moor boats, acquire goods for a journey and partake in fishing. The pond hosts the arts of Music, Painting and Storytelling.
After listening to some music, the boy fell asleep on a boat.
Months later, the kid's first opportunity for 'work' came up, a simple delivery to be made. Nine scented candles for the temple, Six quick knocks. Of course, counting would become a hurdle. After far too many attempts, the kid managed to get the gate open to the training grounds of the temple.
Upon delivering the candles, the kid was offered a place to stay and work within Teichi's Temple. Without much doubt, he accepted.
