Subterran Syndicate
With the awakening of the Elder Dragon of Magic, Primordus, several subterranean societies were forced to migrate to the surface. None fleeing their homes were convinced this would be a lasting solution to a problem as ancient as the world itself, as such, they would always prepare for the time that they would have to hold their ground against the Elder Dragons once more.
Just as the Vigil, Order of Whispers and the Durmand Priory banded together to form the Pact in an effort to retake ground from the Elder Dragon Zhaitan, the Subterran Syndicate was formed to ward against invasions of the Elder Dragon Primordus.
Consisting primarily of Dredge, Skritt and Asura, the Subterran Syndicate avoids the public eye by housing their facilities and headquarters below the surface. Existing expansive networks of caverns and teleportation gates set up long before the dragon threat arose have helped the Syndicate maintain a near global reach and establish an impressive infrastructure.
With some outside help and plenty of mind for innovation, the Subterran Syndicate took to the skies with their airships, allowing for a quicker means to transport cargo between facilities.
Though with immense reach comes a great drawback. Lacking the manpower to defend all its supply lines, the Syndicate often requires the aid of mercenaries or adventurers to dispose of threats to their infrastructure, a challenge even the Pact cannot overcome.
To avoid ricochets, firearms discharge short distance blasts of disruptive sonic waves. To create openings in the rock-like hide of their opponents, melee weaponry are equipped with explosive breaching discharges or even rotating drill bits to carve through plate. Advanced aeronautics research has yielded personal flight suits for the Asuran soldiers, capable of deftly maneuvering through caverns without sacrificing speed, greatly improving the capability for hit and run tactics.

The Syndicate’s primary form of transportation is the use of its underground railroads.
