Voidlings

Dubbed Voidlings for lack of a known species identifier, these gaslike beings are capable of moving through the aetherial void with ease, keeping their vessels in one piece through use of a generated magnetic field. Given their nature, Voidlings are innately capable of high level aetheric manipulation. Such aptitude comes with ready availability of dimensional traversal, though this presents rather unique challenges for a Voidling to overcome.

Faced with the environments of other dimensions, Voidlings are required to exert increased effort to remain in one piece. Known Voidlings mitigate these problems by creating clothing which traps their physical form inside, often taking the form of beings of the world they visit. Voidlings puppeteer these suits to blend in and overcome basic challenges like locomotion on a foreign world. Damage inflicted to these suits or removal of essential components can result in the Voidling struggling to maintain their form, similar to a sudden decompression of a starship.
