Black Walnut
Natively known as: Depvet Bær
Basic Information
Anatomy
Black Walnuts are a deciduous tree with tall, straight trunks and spreading branches. They have a mouth, usually located towards the bottom of the trunk and hidden to the casual observer, and prehensile roots which they use to snare passing creatures.
Ecology and Habitats
Black Walnuts are most commonly found in low-lying areas, near wetlands and rivers. They tend to form forests made exclusively of Black Walnuts, as they are omnivorous and eat both plants and animals.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Black Walnuts are carnivorous and eat both plants and animals. They are dormant at night, but will feed during the day. Black Walnuts feed by wrapping their roots around unsuspecting travelers and dragging them into the tree's mouth, which is usually located near the bottom of the trunk.
