Farmers are the backbone of the Realm's economy, growing the Oat Corn that each village needs to survive.

Tools

Farmers in the Realm typically use iron tools produced by a Blacksmith, but in poorer villages where iron is not available they may use tools made from Flint.

Organization

Farming in the Realm is typically done on small homesteads, with each farmer owning and maintaining their own fields. However, it is not uncommon for an extended family of several generations, divided into several households, to own and operate a single farm. Farm labor is typically done by the farmer and his or her family, and it is rare for farmers to hire outside farmhands.
