Sanguine Sunrise #14: The Bigger They Are

General Summary

The party become tired and eventually rest, setting watches that neglect their last hour of sleep. Whilst doing so, they are found by the drow-like bodyguard of the deep gnomes that hassled them in the day prior. This Ramori figure, says that she wants to leave, and the characters begin to believe her. Due to this. they decide to use Ramori to help them accomplish their own goals.
After learning that Ramori knows no other way out of the Underdark, they ask her where they can find the red flower pods. She shows them the way, but before they can collect the flowers, they are confronted by the drow from the fomorian throne room. With two duergar slaves at his side, he begins asking where the slaves are. They try to talk their way out of it, and it begins working, but the drow offers to join them in reclaiming their slaves since they obviously needed the help. As he expresses this, Grimace begins whispering to Luthrin, telling him they could take these people in this fight.
The drow notices and commands one of the duergar to deafen Luthrin so they can't continue this secretive communication. However, this causes combat as the group rushes in to defeat the underdark figures. They fight, and Luthrin kills a duergar and raises his spirit as a specter. The specter murders the drow by sapping his life away. Ramori grows Grimace to a large size, and he picks up the last duergar and smashes him into the earth.
The group then loot the creatures and begin looking for the next group of flowers. when this happens, they are stalked by the fomorian itself, and it jumps out and surprises the group by attacking them. He harms them greatly, but once again, the specter murders the slavers of the fungal forest.
As the group argues about whether or not to stay in the underdark to find the kruthiks, they hear voices. The group hide, but are noticed. Two of the drow they heard walk their way while the other two disappear. During a conversation, webs shoot out to cover the party.
