Titans' Folly #6: Time's Consequence

General Summary

The Artillerist and the Prince's Hunter land back on the ground. The party continues their fight with the hulk while the Artillerist continues to heckle the party. Hope attempts to force open the gate she closed to face the Artillerist herself, to which the Artillerist warns her not to, but in her rage, she persists. This essentially initiates a second fight that overlaps with the current one.
During this fight, Gratorr shifted his concentration from his conjured fire elemental towards a phantasmal killer to deal with the Star Spawn Hulk. This is a seemingly poor move as the killer does not seem to affect the hulk and the elemental becomes enraged and uncontrollable, adding yet another combatant to the field. Thus an elemental begins attacking Luthrin.
The Prince's Hunter then looks at Hope, causing her to see visions of Arnold being tortured and puppeted by Dreus with a white mask, and he teleports into the checkpoint. Then, from one of the holes blown in the wall stand familiar figures to Luthrin and Gratorr. Two armored guardians protecting a fully grown elvish woman: The Ivory Maiden. She immediately casts a fireball at the flower circle where Arnold had died in the material plane, creating a charred and burning area and badly hurting Ramori and Kurt. The fight has started at full force with the Artillerist flying in to aid and another figure coming from the other side.
However, Hope does manage to let go of the gate and charge at the Prince's Hunter with the realization that beneath the mask is the puppeted soul of her friend. She immediately wails into the figure, smashing the mask as she kills the Prince's Hunter in six seconds and four vicious swings. Then, the last figures walk out the other side. One is a shocker, a figure controlled by the Ivory Maiden. However, the second is a halfling woman wearing Simon Belmont's old uniform that has been modified to fit her, and although she is covered in boils and carrying a giant axe. Her name is Zoe, and she is another Belmont sibling who was only 12 when she was last seen.
The party, with Ramori's radiance and Kurt's acidic spells, manage to kill the Star Spawn Hulk and the two ivory gardens. Also, the elemental is easily slain after only slightly hurting Luthrin.
Thus a battle rages between the party, a hated enemy, and young children they helped in raising, now fully grown. With most of her allies down, Ivory flies out with angelic wings and attempts to cast multiple spells, but she eventually loses her concentration and falls into a tree and has her last ditch spell counterspelled. Thus, she dies in a tree, charred from multiple bolts of flame. At some point, Bear pulls the Artillerist down into the fire and others come to kill her, but she manages to control him, but eventually Hope and Ariel do succeed in felling this fiend, but before she dies, she tells Bear to kill them all.
Bear listens, and almost kills Kriv, allowing Zoe to lodge her axe in her brothers head. She then rushes to continue to fight them while the shocker dies.
However, a mysterious fourth powerful opponent seems to appear as arrows loose at the party members from the middle of nowhere. They are confused and only barely see the greyish blue skin and white hair of the figure when Luthrin wildly shoots eldritch blasts in its direction. This figure manages to knock many people unconsious, and with Bear helping, Hope dies after killing her own sister in recompense for their brother's death. Then, the mysterious figure slaughters Ramori and retreats, and with the help of Ariel, Bear finally breaks the control of the dead Artillerist.
Thus, the fight is over with three dead party members and the dead followers of Dreus. Kurt runs past the pox ridden body of Zoe and revives the two dead Belmont party members. He then runs past the bodies of the mask laden followers of debauchery and attempts to bring Ramori back, but she doesn't seem to return.
Eventually, Zoe has coins placed over her eyes to prevent further decomposition. The group now mourns the loss of both friends and enemies and pilfers through the supplies of both. Luthrin asks the soul of Ivory, looking at her charred body that was once a polished white, about why everyone attacked them, and she tells them the emperor told them to.
The group are looking for their fairy friends when centaurs come to see what has faired here. They ask about the race and the centaur explains that a race of mourning must be held soon. The centaur also explains that Tima is a thief of what is precious to those who have it, time.
With the realization that all has passed and many memories are forsaken, the group begin looking into some of the items the dead had on them while they begin training here.
