Almus

Almus was considered a sage, cleric, and druid all at once. His helped lead to the formation of the Shadralin Order, but more than that he was considered a great mind and idealist for his views of unity.   Almus wa a follower of Lady Yaven primarily, but he believed in unity between religions and cultures above all else. He took her teachings of balance not to mean that extreme views should be treated as evil, but that one's views should never get so extreme as to villainize all who think differently. His teachings and written works helped to diminish a lot of the religious division in his time, particularly among the followers of deity with similar core beliefs of good such as Erethean and Aveion.   He believed all differences could be worked out through means other than hatred and war, and spent his life working to spread more peaceable ideas as far as he could. While in the end he came far from ending war, distrust between certain races, or even religious separation, to say his work didn't have an impact would be far from the truth. He was able to directly ease tensions between Galayin and the city state of Banleth, as well as their churches, make new connections between the temples of Lady Yaven and Irelia, and bring the Midlander Humans and Copperhill Dwarves together.   Since his death, his books and teachings have continued to have an impact, particularly in the Midland, which has become one of the most generally tolerant regions of the Riftgrounds, housing many different races and followers of many deities from the lawful Aetheos to even Erethean, whose chaotic teachings were typically shunned.   His legacy also lives on in part through the Shadralin Order, who while they primarily focus on maintaining balance in the world still hold to some of his ideals of unity.
