Valtrex

The Valtrex is a massive scaled beast that roams the southwestern areas of the Riftgrounds, most notably in the jungle of Wistmire. They're one of the foremost predators in the jungle, having few rivals other than dragons. They're almost ten feet tall, their towering bodies able to move through the dense jungle through the sheer strength to simply push aside any vegetation that gets in their way.
They eat both plants and animals, and nearly everything in the jungle falls onto their prey list. Fortunately for their prey they aren't among the most stealthy of hunters, but they make up with this through their strength and a surprising among of speed for such a large creature. They are able to use their stored energy in quick burst of extreme speed, allowing them to outrun most other creatures over short distances.
Their senses are also rather sharp, allowing them to spot even smaller prey over large distances through smell and hearing. Their sight is not as strong as some creatures, but its keen enough that the three sense combined make it quite difficult to avoid their notice.
Once they've closed in on their prey, they go in for a quick kill, usually able to feel their prey in a single clamp of their powerful jaws. Against target that are able to put up more of an actual fight, they spiky tail also serves as a potent secondary weapon, as well as a longer range tool to snag creatures from just outside the range of its jaws.
Valtrex can have a variety of scale colors. The most common is a shade of green that helps them blend into the jungle they live in, but there are also red and blue scaled variants. The plates that line their spines are typically grey or brown, appearing almost to be made out of stone, though those rarely also hold a more vibrant coloration.
