Greenmeadow Farm Ransacked!

Heartwrenching news from a farm just outside of Grytack. A farm has been singled out for destruction. There were no witnesses to the crime, but signs of a fight, and copious bloodstains yield little hope for the fate of Jarl Gorkkson. Day Watch Captain, Víðir Valmarsson, confirms that not only was the house looted, but the farm animals were slaughtered in their stalls and partially butchered. "This appears to be an isolated incident. But I advise all outlying farms to be vigilant, and avoid traveling alone, " said Valmarsson, when asked for a quote. Jarl Gauksson was a fourth-year student at St. Gwen's, living alone in his family home. His parents passed away just a couple of years ago. He has no known relatives. Anyone with information concerning the attack, or Gauksson's wherabouts should contact the watch in Grytack.

Beltane Market

The Beltane Market at Victory Square starts tomorrow at midmorning! All the usual vendors will be there to supply your holiday table. If you don't have time to gather in your blooms, a variety of growers and foragers will be selling fresh-cut boughs. A new vender this season is Fizzywig's Powders. For that special Beltain bonfire, Fizzywigs powders can add a special "pizzazz" to the flames. They have powders to turn the flames various colors, as well as exotic aromatics to add a pleasing fragrence to the smoke. Don't forget to stop by their market stall for a FREE SAMPLE.

Toast the Beginning of Summer at the Victory Square Bonfire

After Beltain services at the Temple of the Three, The Victory Square Bonfire will be lit. Although the area stores will be closed, several of the local taprooms have coordinated to operate a beergarden on the square. So bring your sweetie, join the dancing, and drink a few beers this Beltain eve! Live music performed by local bards, including FloodDance, Searching Bride, and Myrrh Presgolor.

Advice for the week: A snowstorm in Floodsebb is worth a wagon load of hay.

Ruby's Society Column

Such bloody news this week. Could Grytack's most elgible batchlor, Dinky Littlefoot, have anything to do with this mischief? The forth son of the Littlefoot family was seen entering the Watch House with an escort of town guards! The scandle! We wonder what his brother the town councilman had to say about it!

Look out Grytack, the Beltain Ball will be held at the oh so elegant, Eldritch Lantern. If you waited till now to get a new gown from Ruby's House of Fashion, start crying now!
