The Glitterburst is an old, lenticular galaxy on the verge of collapsing, being slowly torn apart and absorbed by the Rosepetal's gravitational forces. It began to collapse to a critical extent some 500,000 years ago which led to the exodus of its native sapient species, the Dakuth and Tektek. First contact was initiated by the United Worlds, who agreed to grant them a new homeworld each within the Rosepetal, engineered to mimick their original homweorlds as closely as possible.   Later on, preservational organizations within the United Worlds also populated these new worlds with other native species rescued from the dying satellite. Due to it's state it's very unlikely it can support any form of life in modern day, and it's thought that any remaining native life it once had has long since perished. Only roughly a fifth remains of its original size, the rest of its mass having been absorbed into the Rosepetal.   It's widely perceived as an immensely beautiful view due to its colorful swirl of gold, red and blue that reach out like a long tail to and melt into the star clusters along He-Zy's Whisker, while it's center remains shining a bright gold-white. The grand observatory of Vandesmyr is famous for its tourism centered around the live view of the galaxy.
