The Skethas Companions

The Skethas are two interacting spiral galaxies, thought to be in the slow processing of merging together. Due to their proximity to each other and interaction they are very commonly spoken of as a single unit. While a satellite to the Rosepetal they appear to remain in a stable orbit and not at risk of being pulled apart by its parent's gravitational pull.   Of all satellites, the Skethas is the second most explored and is known to hold both a considerable amount of natural resources and planetary systems that is or could be habitable. Unfortunately, the Skethal Infestation first thought to have hailed from the smaller of the two satellites appears to have spread throughout both, infecting nearly all organic materia. This makes exploration via anything but remote probes extremely dangerous.   As well, the chances of being able to settle worlds in either satellite remains beyond microscopic until a reliable means of controlling and fighting the infestation has been found. And even then, there'll be a need to deal with the infestation that's begun to spread into Rosepetal itself first and foremost.
