Ethereal Shards

When a god dies their power remains in the shape of a shard. When ever a shard is touched by some one they will become a god depending on their personality and nature. Much of these shards were created during the War of Armageddon and shards would be scattered the world and found by mortals creating most of the gods of today with the ascension wars. But no one really knows how many of these shards remain hidden across the worldand what might happen is someone were to find one.

Significance

It is the fragment of a dead god and contains a portion of its power. Who every merges with will become a god themselves.
