The End of Prowis
Plot points/Scenes
The first segment of the plot is the one before it technically begins, being the state that Isaak Amari and Ophelia of Prowis find themselves in at the beginning of the story. Technically the story begins before here, but for the sake of the actual plot this is the beginning.
The pair come from Prowis, and each have a mission - Ophelia's is to spread the word of Orchard, Goddess of the Glade , though after some time she is called home to fulfil other duties. Isaak meanwhile has been given the task by Briar, Dead God of Thorns to locate a woman known as Darea and kill her. Darea is a former member of the followers of Briar who left without explanation.
The second phase of the plot will begin when Isaak actually finds Darea and learns the truth about why she left. She discovered the true nature of Briar and Orchard as powerful beings that fell into the material plane from the Feywild, not as gods. In further investigating this mystery, she found that The Church of Prowis was actually created as part of a plan to return the fey siblings to their home with the additional power required to reconquer their home.
The third part of the plot comes afterwards, when Isaak is warned by Duncan, his former mentor, that like Darea before him he is now marked for death by Briar. This is due to the fact that Isaak now carries the same knowledge that Darea did, which makes him too dangerous to Briar to be kept alive. Several of his former friends will now come after him until he returns to Prowis.
Upon returning to Prowis, Briar reveals that he was actually hoping that Isaak would become strong enough for his purposes, and ask that he accompany them back to the Feywild in order to defeat their uncle who ousted them in the first place. The issue is that in order to have enough power for Orhard and Briar to survive, they need to kill all of the followers of Orchard, as the purest form of power that a god can get is the sacrifice of their followers.
From here, the choice is up to the players. There are ways to return to the Feywild without killing anyone and begin the final stage of the plot, defeating Orchard and Briar's uncle. It will be harder without the sacrifice, but possible. And of course they could choose to contend directly with the pair, though defeating his patron would mean that Isaak would lose his warlock abilities, and Ophelia would be unable to grow further as a cleric.
Then the aftermath is the people of Prowis deciding what they want to do next.

Structure
Exposition
The important exposition that sets up the plot is as follows:
Orchard and Briar were a pair of siblings who held a sizeable court in the Feywild. They were neither good nor bad, but acted as all fey creatures do, in the way that suits them best.
One day, they were attacked by another archfey, who was technically their uncle by marriage but who really cares about such things. Being a far more powerful being than them, they were not able to stand up to his might - nor did they expect to, as the Feywild tends to be less orientated on attacks and invasions as much as on the slow machinations of court.
As the siblings were defeated, they were able to take a section of their land with them as they fled the fey realm. They landed in the Salynas Archipelago, and their land became the island known as Prowis.
The pair began to scheme on how they might return to their home, and how they might gain enough power to oust their uncle. The answer came by the mechanism by which gods gained their power in this land: belief gives one power. Anyone could become a god, and so they did just that.
They concocted a story, of being mistreated by the people of the town where they first arrived, of Briar being called the King of Thorns and killed, while Orchard was loved and became the Lady of the Glade. He was the dead god to her living one, the evil counterpart to her good. Their religion grew as they drew people to their island, with many pledging themselves to Orchard.
But at the same time, Briar had his own part of the plan. He began to steal children and raise them in a separate commune, being the only ones who knew that he was alive. He shared his power with them, and they took that power and made it grow. The gifts they gave him in return for power were a great devotion, and the power of he and Orchard grew.
The power of worship comes with a price, however. While a god can gain power by people believing in them, they also must conform with what they are believed to be. Orchard and Briar had made Briar into a villain, and so a villain he became. Hate grew in his heart, which he tried to channel towards his uncle. But he began to think that the power he and his sister had developed wasn't enough, and so he created the final piece of the plan.
Worship gives a god power, but the greatest power comes from those who would give their lives to their god. Briar knew that in order to have the power to defeat their uncle, and then to destroy all of their enemies, his and Orchard's followers must be sacrificed for the good of their ultimate ascension.
Orchard agreed. She had made herself compassionate and loved all of her children, but she loved her brother more than anything else. All she could do was point one of Briar's key followers in a direction that he might make a choice better than the one she made.
