Valentine was found and brought in by the ringmaster of the circus known as “Maxine’s Marvellous Wonders”. Valentine was brought up on the side lines, doing menial tasks whilst the others got their time in the spotlight, something she grew to want. At 11 she was told she didn’t have a talent to perform in the first place, and double she wasn’t pretty. So she practiced singing, finding she had a talent for it. She bided her time before taking it, when she was 14 she messed up one act to make a ‘short break’ to which she went out on the stage and sang, she basked in the spotlight and loved it. Her singing gained her affection, which made her feel good physically and mentally. Maxine the ringmaster noticed Valentine had a certain healthy glow to her and grew interested seeking council from from the circus’ seer learning Valentine was a rare and near extinct clan of Dhampir which fed souly of affection. The clan used evil manipulative ways to gain this so there was an uprising that took them out erasing them from history. She was the last. However Valentine seems fine, not taking her families manipulative and evil tendencies that ran in their dna. However as months went by Valentine craved the spotlight, however bad things seemed to happen and the audience looked more drained after her performance. Maxine noticed and kicked Valentine out, not just for the audiences sake but for her, telling her she could return if she changed her ways. But Valentine thought she no longer needed them, she never needed them so vowed she would become better than them, prettier than all of them. So the next few years was spent on her own, gaining fans wherever she went manipulating people into loving her. She needed more however. She needed to be better.
Valentine’s skills were noticed by organisations which hired her to manipulate high born individuals or anyone into giving vital information. She was happy to do so, she gained the affection of both the organisation and the person she was flirting with and money although she wasn’t very materialistic. So now Valentine wanders the continent, doing her spying when hired and singing for her own gain whilst also trying to find information of the lost clan of the Von Adouire.
