Céthurburgh

Split into three burghs: north, south, and central, the north most settlement of Buachalla is Céthurburgh. Céthurburgh is the location of the rich iron mines. The raw iron ore is typically shipped down the Macha River where the metallurgists, smiths, and ship builders of Éthurburgh refine and utilize the material. Growing up quick and tough, the miner folk work hard, but play harder. It has been said that due to their highly active lifestyle, most of the meat from the beef cattle from Téthurburgh in the south is used to satisfy the hunger of the Céthurburghers. After a long shift at the mill, Céthurburghers are known to enter their home through a basement where they have a jerry-rigged shower to remove the layer of grime left from dusty rock particulates. They usually then have a large meal, usually of beef and potatoes, which is washed down with locally brewed libations.

Demographics

Those who have settled in Céthurburgh are usually of both Fir Bolg and Fomorian descent. They retain their brawny musculature from their Fomorian lineage, but it is compacted onto a smaller frame inherited from the Fir Bolg. This is actually the general demographic of Buachalla in general. Due to their stature, Buachallans are notoriously, albeit characteristically, referved to as dwarves.

Government

Like its brother burghs of Éthurburgh and Téthurburgh, Céthurburgh has a democratically elected district representative called a Deartháirmor. All three Deartháirmors are the co-leaders of Buachalla. The Deartháirmor of Céthurburgh is Xander Croícorcra.

Infrastructure

Due to the years of mining, extra sediment from the mines has collected and formed hills, giving Buachalla a hilly terrain distinct from the flat meadows. A special clay acquired from mining by the Ériu River has been used to create brick roads and homes. Ferries are the typical means of travel for distance, but most locations are close enough to travel on by foot. Traditionally, the final brick of a building (usually above the main entrance door frame) is a golden brick instead of a clay one. This is said to provide the building and those inside good luck. Electrical power is typically provided to the homes through means of both hydroelectric and geothermal power.
