The Sercaen Sea

When Loden drove back the servants of the uspoken god, the Verdant lands that ringed the Sercaen took him as their ruler, and brought forth their spoils. Vast steppes teemed with livestock, fertile meadows sprouted crops, deep crags revealed their riches, and surrounding it all was a vast, calm sea that connected them all.   Time passed and the rich land fell to the decadence of civilisation. Lordlings feuded over the scraps of their fathers, sons and daughters of once noble houses squandered their riches, and the once inviting forests and tranquil seas fell victim to pirates, monsters, and even the fell demons that make their way into the homes, and hearts, of men.   The mighty Jurellian empire, feeling itself falling behind, reaches out and marches over the land in a stready stream of conquest. The T'Zarka, growing rich from the arrogance and decadence of power, seek to increase their already fearsome wealth. The Pirates of Vorn band together, some wanting gentrification, others independence. At the heart of it all grows a sinister conspiracy, and an evil long thought to be rusting away begins a slow march back to power.
