The Rebel Lauth
The Rebel Lauth is a group of dragons who are secretly taking opposition to the Empire of Ilien, and their dominion over the dragons. Though each are quite different in terms of temperament and morals, all have the same goal: Stopping the Empire from enslaving all dragons.
Currently, the plan of the Rebel Lauth is to enflame the other species, especially the so called "lower" species, such as Kobolds and Duergar, against themselves, creating chaos for the Empire. Then, they will launch an attack on Thamidir, siezing the Void portal and allowing Valamaradace and the other dragons of the void into the Overworld.

- Velomachus Lorehold is the founder of Lorehold College, and believes that history must be remembered so that it is not repeated. The Empire is the antithesis of that. Humanoids have proven time and again that when they rule over themselves, they suffer, and bring suffering to others. Now, they are becoming powerful enough that if not stopped, their Empire could last a thousand years. Velomachus does not want to bring forth the Dragons of the Void, but sees no other way to match a dragon like Ruin. Lorehold is the tactician and leader of the Rebel Lauth, and has been advising them all on their strategies.
- Balaur, the Beast of War is deeply indebted to the Duergar. When he was dying, stripped of his scales, his freedom, and his dignity by a powerful wizard, the Dueragr found him, took him in, and forged for him his armor of Adamantine. He now wishes to serve them, the Sunless Horde, in all things. If he is not certain Valamaradace will only burn the surface world, he will turn on the Lauth in a heartbeat. He is the muscle, bringing his own strength, along with the armies of Xitor.
- Navuth Lanskald, AKA Glitz, The Rapscallion sees the way the mortals are suffering, and suffers along with them. They wish to save the people from themselves, though only so far as to break the Empire. Glitz has no interest in bringing Valamaradace to rule the humanoids, nor to rule the humanoids themselves. They are the Lauth's infiltrator, being excellent at different shapes and forms, to the point that they have lied their way onto the Imperial Council.
- Naghi, the Stone Dragon is desperate for a way to cure his petrifaction. He believes that the power of a Greatwyrm, such as Valamaradace may be able to, and bringing her to rule the Overworld and freeing the dragons may grant him a boon from her. Naghi is the eyes and ears of the Lauth, his spies are everywhere, in every form, in every city in the Empire, and beyond.
- Kut-Echinae, the Mother of Monstrosities hates humanoids with a burning passion. She doesn't much care who rules the Overworld, as she should be the ruler of the Underdark. Her and her children will spread across the caverns, and take everything. She believes working with the Lauth will further her war against the Humanoids, pitting them against each other. If Valamaradace comes, she will simply raze the surface world to the ground, even better.
