Zen allows itself to be captured by Memoc's demons and taken to his largest slave camp. There, it forms a bond with Kelin, a fellow slave, and they fall in love. However, their happiness is shattered when Memoc's slavers brutally kill Kelin, driving Zen to seek revenge and intensifying its resolve to confront and defeat Memoc.
