Afnir

The First Smith (a.k.a. Lord of Lightning, The King of Storms, Creator of Man)

Afnir is one of the eight deities of The Pillars of All pantheon.   The whole world was forged by Afnir in the beginning of time.   He is one of the oldest known deities and the brother of Ostar. The legends say that Afnir forged his brothers sword out of pure starlight.   Just like all the other members of The Pillars of All, Afnir too is said to live in the realm of Drømmeverden.

Divine Domains

Afnir's domains consist of
  • Mountains and stone
  • Smithing and fire
  • Crafting and creation
  • Snow and storms
  • Rain and thunder
He is the creator god who shaped the world into what we see today.   Afnir is the most commonly worshipped deity among smiths, and stonemasons.

Holy Books & Codes

Afnir has not given mankind any kind of a book or a scroll of instructions to follow. The only true communication from him comes through the divine runes that very rarely appear into stone or metal whilst smithing and calling upon Afnirs name.   The Carvers of Afnir have dedicated their entire lifes to interpreting these divine runes. Afnir seems to have noticed this, because these runes tend to appear more frequently to his followers.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The divine runes of Afnir first appeared thousands of years ago. These runes have guided smiths and other craftsmen ever since.   His devoted followers, The Carvers of Afnir use a symbolic face of Afnir himself as their sigil.

Tenets of Faith

The devoted followers of Afnir tend to have the following kinds of traits
  • Endurance
  • Craftsmanship
  • Toughness
These features are a great part of the character of Afnir and thus his followers aspire to be like him.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

The divine runes sent by Afnir are hard to interpret and make sense of. Because of this the exact goals of Afnir are still unkown.
