Kadthar

The Merciful Hunter (a.k.a. The Sharpshooter, The Whisper of the Wild)

Kadthar is a legendary hunter. It is said that he has taken down great beasts the size of continents.    He resides within the realm of Drømmeverden with the rest of the members of The Pillars of All pantheon.

Divine Domains

The divine domains of Kadthar are
  • Hunting and mercy
  • Farming and forests
  • Harmony and balance
  • Archery and dexterity
Kadthar is deeply connected with nature. He and Fir are the deities that hunters pray to when asking for assistance. It is said that whenever a hunter doesn't put down their kill mercifully and quickly Cadthar looks down upon them frowning. Some even claim that after such acts Kadthar himself has personally appeared to them.   Some say that Kadthar visited the realm in human form and taught man how to cultivate the land to grow food. This is the reason why farmers all across the realm pray to Kadthar in the spring.

Holy Books & Codes

Hunters all across the realm have told similar stories of glowing rune carved into trees. These runes always tell the message of mercy and forgiveness. They tell men to only hunt what they need and to kill what they catch quickly and with mercy.    These runes also sometimes tell what crops to grow in the coming season.

The most common symbol of Kadthar in writings and art is a bow and arrow.    This symbol was adopted by The Arrows of the Wild over a thousand years ago.
